In February 2019 Tiwa Savage blocked Naira Marley on Instagram because he said tiwa is not sexy to him!

Few months later same Tiwa confess her love for Naira who has now become the president of the Marlian Republic… hope Bubu doesn’t get to hear that.

Naira Marley sudden success in the music industry took everyone by surprise. Top A-list Nigerian musicians started drawing closer to him and many declared themselves Marlian. Including Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, DJ Cuppy, Olamide and millions of other Nigerian youths.

But wait a minute, there is a lot of criminal gist surrounding the Marlian president rise to fame.

Thats why today we bring you the exclusive criminal history of Naira Marley.

Naira Marley born Azeez Fashola in Agege, Lagos State, has had some tough past in the UK before his new struggle in Nigeria.

On June 11 2014 a London news website: Newshopper published a report about Naira Marley being wanted by the Lewisham Police in the UK for crimes ranging from robbery to sexual assault

He and other 4 boys were declared wanted. At the time Naira Marley was just 19 years old.

Fast forward to Nigeria. When he came back home, he has been maintaining a low profile before he venture into music. With close pals like Olamide who has a strong foot in the music industry his path to fame was firmly cemented.

In the early days of his career in 2018 he did a trending hit song with Olamide and Lil Kesh titled ‘ Issa Goal’ the song became an instant hit, having gathered 3 million views on youtube till date.

Naira couldn’t meet up with another hit single as big Nigerian music stars keeps dropping hits and Olamide was still the king of the street then.

This circumstances forced Naira to follow behind Olamde and later Zlatan who was later gaining ground.

As Naira was enjoying his new found small fame he started having some beef with made artist in the industry one of them was Tiwa Savage. In an interview he granted he confessed that Tiwa is not attractive enough to him… he said Rihana is what he called sexy.

This revelation caused him his relation with Tiwa Savage who had no choice other than to block him on Instagram.

One early morning in Gbangbose street Ikate lekki the EFCC force raided Naira Marley and his friends, Zlatan, Rhaman Jago and others.

They filled 11 charges against Naira, bordering on stolen credit card and internet fraud.

In court they claimed Naira was in possession of counterfeit credit card with intentions of defrauding innocent individuals. they also added that they retreived some forged documents from Naira Marley‘s laptop and iphone.

If found guilty on all 11 counts Naira Marley might face 7 years in jail or pay a fine of 5 million Naira.

This case was huge and was the talk of the town.

The judge ordered Naira Marley to be remanded in ikoyi prison while they perfect his bail terms and investigations commences.

Each time Naira Marley has a hearing in the Ikoyi high court multitudes of Marlians flood the court premises screaming Free Naira! Free Naira! encouraging the Marlian president to remain strong amidst the trials.

The day of Naira Marley release was a huge celebration in the music industry as his fans cant wait to receive him back.

After he got out of prison he dropped a hit banger soapy’ which went on to sell millions of copies and top Apple Music charts for months, other hit songs he dropped includes “Am I A Yahoo boy” “Puta” “Mafor” “Opotoyi” “Japa” and many more.

Since his release from prison, Naira Marley has been dropping nothing but hit songs and his fan base has increased exponentially.

His street love has forced many of his colleagues in the music industry to draw closer to him.

In December last year Wizkid invited him to his Starboy Fest show in UK. Also Davido featured him in a hit song off his “A Good Time Album” The song is titled Sweet In The Middle’ yeahhhhhhhh life is actually sweet in the middle…

Ohhh! did I mention that Naira Marley and Tiwa are now best of friends? Yes they are now. or what are you expecting before.

Well the EFCC only did him more good than harm, because after his arrest and jail terms his career skyrocketted and fly over the roof. GBOOOOOOSE! just like that.

Maybe every Nigerian artist need to go to jai! and have a criminal past! because that seems to be the new recipe for success in this tough music industry.

Don’t be in a haste to celebrate Naira Marley new found freedom yet, because the EFCC case is not all Naira need to face to solidify his stay in the music industry.

Early in 2020 there was an allegation against Naira Marley being involved in a car theft that took place in Lekki.

Naira and his two brothers and their cousin involved were taken to court by the Nigerian police. This news spread for sometime online. Forcing Naira Marley to show us his fleet of cars ranging from Bently, Benze to Porsche… an act he claimed he hate doing.

Lack of evidence to this allegations made the case to die and the judge strike the case out of court.

In this same year there was report that the EFCC are revisiting Naira Marley case and he is to appear in court soon.
