Federal Government Says Movement From One State To Another May Likely Start On This Date
The federal government has announced the likely date for the resumption of interstate movement.
The ban was imposed on interstate movement months ago by the Nigerian government to contain the spread of Coronavirus pandemic ravaging the country.
The Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on New Media, Bashir Ahmad was speaking on Thursday morning. Bashir said that, interstate movement is expected to resume alongside reopening of airports on June 21.
"His word"
“Interstate movement may resume on June 21, the National Coordinator of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Dr. Sani Aliyu, gave the hint recently, as domestic flights are also expected to resume on June 21.”
This is a good development. Interstate movement will help in boosting the country's economy. No state can fully provide everything, hence there's need for one state to interact with another. So resumption of interstate movement will greatly enhance trading activities in the country.
